Dene Green Groundworks
Flood mitigation works are starting on Dene Green ....

Over the coming days/weeks you might spot some soil and chalk being built up along the banks of the rear ditch. Last winter the ditch worked, but to its maximum and needed to be sandbagged to stop the green becoming too saturated. In order to try to prevent future flooding, banks will be created to ensure the water is diverted in the direction it needs to be.
Fear not, it will be tidied and levelled and the grass should grow fairly quickly once its in place.
To save costs, if you’re having any groundworks done, please let us know if you have any soil to dispose of as we may need more as the project progresses. Please contact the Parish Clerk – clerk@hurstbournetarrant-pc.gov.uk
